What a beautiful ocean!

What a beautiful 'seafoam morning'!"

Artist comment:  "Sometimes a perfect morning by the sea gives back a glorious expanse of color that just begs to be captured on canvas.  I took one such moment (in my mind) back to my studio to recreate in oil on canvas.  I sketched the scene loosely, keeping in mind good composition and balance.  I painted the dark water, headlands and rocks.  Next I did the sky with it's still lingering blush of pink, bringing that pink onto the rolling breaker.  I put in the darks and let the oil 'set-up', while I painted the seafoam green with it's foam patterns.  Then I painted the runoff on the rocks.  Finally a trio of 'M' birds at the horizon completed that wonderful memory."
