"Overlooking the great Pacific ocean, the 'Point Vicente Lighthouse' is elegant and awe inspiring as it's light beams steadily, guiding ships far out at sea."
Artist comment: "Point Vicente lighthouse holds a third-order Fresnel lens atop a cylindrical reinforced concrete tower. The light shines forth at 185 feet above the Pacific Ocean on a high steep headland near Los Angeles, California, between Redondo Beach and San Pedro. It was lit in 1926 and has undergone various changes, including automation in 1971. Coast Guard personnel live there, but it is closed to the public."
