10 Cool Things You Can Do with EBSQ

While there's obviously more than just ten cool things you can do here with a paid artist membership -- including stuff even we don't know about yet because you guys don't limit your creativity to art -- we thought we'd highlight some of our cooler features, as well as show off the innovative ways some of our members are using what EBSQ has to offer.

Upload your art without worrying about a quota:

Other art sites will put you on a tiered system and limit the number of pieces you can upload, or charge you more for a bigger portfolio. We don't do that. You can upload (and edit) your art totally at your leisure, without any restrictions on how much art your can add.

Include detail shots:

A lot of art and photo sharing sites don't give you the space to show details in the context of the original. This particularly hurts artists who have small details or texture in their work that you might miss in a single, small jpg. The same goes for artists who work in three dimensions who are typically forced to settle for one interesting angle. EBSQ lets you include up to three detail shots with individual captions. You can show us your tiny bits, how your work looks in a real space, how it looks framed, or even the how the work looked while still in progress.

Use our built-in social media sharing tools for personal marketing:

We've seen our members use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter in innovative ways -- from letting friends and followers know about new work, to sharing exhibit pieces in hopes of getting lots of "Cloud" votes, to generating ongoing interest with works in progress. We are sure you can think of lots of other ways to use this feature, too. Best thing? Your customers can easily share your work too,with just one click! It's a great way to spread the word, and every social media mention links back to your portfolio for even more exposure.

Create Digital COA's:

There's been a lot of debate over the years about how important (or unimportant) Certificates of Authenticity are for original art (as well as reproductions) direct from the artist. If COA's are important to you (or your customers) we have a pretty innovative online system. COAs can be printed, emailed, or both. We even track provenance once art changes hands and you find yourself in the secondary art market!

Link to where you sell:

We know you probably don't have all of your eggs in one basket, and you most likely sell/promote your art in a variety of venues. EBSQ makes it easy to point your customers to where they can find your work online, all from one central hub. Do you have original paintings on eBay, artist-made jewelry on Etsy, and prints of your work at Imagekind? EBSQ lets you direct your customers to all of these places with ease. (we can easily point people to your personal website, Twitter, Facebook fan page, and blog, too!)

Create (and organize) multiple collections of your work:

EBSQ's default is always to show your most recent work first in your portfolio. But we give you additional control to create "personal galleries" so people can easily view just your photography or just work from 2017, for example. You can even hide work from public view if so desired. You're totally in control.

Build up your exhibition resume:

EBSQ typically hosts one online exhibit per month.. Members who participate in shows regularly tend to get a lot more traffic to their portfolios. Many of our exhibits offer a cash prize, so your EBSQ membership could possibly pay for itself!

Ask an expert:

The EBSQ Forums are a mixture of public and private (for paid members only), and we have a VERY active community. If there's something you want to know about media, technique, supplies, tech questions, marketing, shipping, online (or brick and mortar) venues, or need a recipe for all of the zucchini that was mysteriously left on your porch by an anonymous relative, chances are you'll be able to find somebody who has an answer for you practically 24/7.

Expect kick-ass customer service:

We might be small, but that smallness gives us an agility that some larger spaces lack. We do our best to answer all of your questions personally and in a timely fashion. If we don't know the answer, we'll do our best to find you someone who does. And in the event you don't hear back from us, PLEASE write again or post on the forums -- sometimes ye olde spam filter has a mind of its own!
