"Watching the sea is a relaxing pastime as the 'waves breaking' onto the shore play a soothing melody."
Artist comment: "I paint the ocean and things related to it. It is a continual pleasure to seek new views and fresh perspectives for my work. Sometimes, as in this small oil on canvas, I incorporate components from scenes I have observed into a unique composition. I painted a blue sky and corresponding waves washing in. I painted the rocks, then finished with the sand and water rushing around the close rock. Finally I rendered the foam and froth of the waves."
