"The morning sea glows in the early light that brightens rock and wave against a cool, clear, blue sky."
Artist comment: "The sea in the early morning with the sun shining on the water is always fascinating to me. It allows me to explore the color I call 'sea-foam' green. In this medium sized oil painting, I capitalized on that. My composition is a strong diagonal balance between the rock and the splash. The floating foam patterns create an interesting path from the center to the left, then across the bottom, angled to the right. I painted a strong dark rock to infuse a note of warmth and a solid anchor to the overall composition."
