"One of Oregon's offshore monoliths stands serenely, unaffected by daily relentless assaults by rain, wind, and waves. Timeless beauty seems such a natural aspect of this scene from Pacific City, Oregon."
Artist comment: "Just outside a small coastal Oregon community there is a distinctive 'stack' rock. The dory boats leave and return here. I was intrigued by the distinctive 'elephants foot' at the edge of this monolith. I painted the gentle surf, the small strip of beach, and played up the enormous bulk of the looming offshore rock."
