Painted for the EBSQ Steinbeck show, this piece was inspired by the Grapes of Wrath, and the plight of migrant workers in this country. Strawberry picking is particularly back-breaking labor for very little money. This expressionist painting is done entirely in Sennelier oil bars, richly pigmented oil paint in stick form. Staple free sides are painted, and it is wired on the back and ready to hang.
