This painting introduces a new visitor to my water garden series. A garden pond just would not be the same without all the tiny creatures that come to visit. Birds are my most frequent visitors, but frogs are always attracted to my pond. Summer would not be the same without hearing their loud croaks at night. No matter if I know that the frogs are present around the pond, I am always startled when one takes a flying jump out of their hiding place when I walk by. This little green frog is almost camouflaged on the green lily pad where he catches some warm summer rays.
