The Scared Ibis was a bird that was worshiped as the god, Thoth, the god of knowledge. Some of these birds were mummified and buried with the pharoahs. The Sacred Ibis is extinct in Egypt, though it is still found in some other parts of the world. Approx. 6 x 4 inches postcard, ink, watercolour pencils and chromacolour white. This is a very interesting bird to watch and with a few different species of ibis to be found, I will definately be doing more.
