This was a preliminary study for a watercolor painting. I chose the unusual cropping so that the viewer would look at the entire drawing, not just focus on the eyes. I wore this shirt because of the interaction between the stripes and the natural folds of the shirt. That was one of my favorite shirts, too, which makes this piece even more representative of me in my thirties.
