This is a self portrait drawn from a photo that I had taken of myself, with my digital camera last year. I took this picture during some quiet time that I had to myself at night, while my husband & 5 kids were sleeping. It was drawn using Rembrandt Pastels on Canson Pastel paper. I have not done any pastel portraits since 2003, so I was happy to finally get started on one, and to be able to finish it in the same day.
