Created just for the EBSQ "In the Bag show." I've made quite a few bags lately, but I wanted to do something special just for EBSQ. This is leather reclaimed from a jacket I found at a thrift store a few years ago, and I thought it would be the perfect material to use.
I cut it into kind of a classic shape for me, rounded with some pleats. Feminine, but not too girly, which I love with the harder edge of the black leather. To further contrast the more feminine shape, I decided to leave the seams raw and put them to the outside of the bag for a more deconstructed look, which I really like with the lived in look of the leather.
For a little more interest I added a large brass corset hook to the front of the bag tied off with thin leather strips. There is a double handle for hand carrying what is really a smaller sized little bag, and everything closes with a magnetic snap. I hope you like it!
