Silk, cotton and bark bag.

This structured bag is approximately 10" wide and 11" tall. Hand knit with leather sides lined with kid suede inside. The front and back panels are white birch bark.

I love wood. Especailly birch. This bag was a challenge.

To figure out how to use the birch panel in a handbag. It actuallly turned out better than I had expected. The top flap and strap are made from a wonderful japanese silk in grey tones. It picked up the birch colors beautifully.
