This is my second abstract art painting. There is really no rhyme or reason as to why I create the paintings that I do. I just paint in the moment and do what appeals to me at the time. If I start with any preconceived notion, I usually just end up frustrated because I can't get my idea onto the canvas-so I just paint with my feelings. I have been a portrait artist for over 18 years and have recently discovered abstract art. It is like being freed from prison. I feel so free to be creative using vibrant expressive colors.
