This contemporary abstract painting was created basically by trial and error. I started the painting by sculpting gesso and gel onto the canvas using a palette knife. I then put a light wash of color over the gesso followed by a more heavy application of uneven short and long strokes. I wasn't pleased with the look of the painting to decided to experiment with a splattering technique until I was happy with the final result. My 4 year old (who is also a budding artist) is the one who named the painting because she said it reminds her of a storm.
