"Hollow" has a deep almost mystic feeling. This abstract is earthy, muted tones. Hollow was inspired, along with a few similar works, from an incredible canyon view over a period of 2 weeks. I rarely use traditional paintbrushes. I have adopted a technique with trowels and similar tools. I prefer to have a subtleness in my work, a lack of defineness that is accomplished through trowels.
