Form, expression, and color was imperative here. I was careful not to use any browns, grays, or blacks in the foreground, I only used them in the background. I wanted to use a color technique within the chiaroscuro concept, the contrast of the foreground and background really makes the figure in the foreground pop. In person, the figure has an illuminated effect, even when there is very little light in the room.
