This painting is of the USS Saratoga and its O2U Corsair (yes, there were other Corsair aircraft before the famous F4U of WW II) aircraft flying in the general direction of a sunset. This was based on a old black & white photo and further enhanced. Why not create a nice scene and salute those early aviators who started taking off and landing on a postage stamp? The song is Theme of the Fast Carriers by the RCA Symphony Orchestra.
