~"Welcome to Narnia"~

My entry for April's ACEO Group Theme Week Art Contest (the theme being 'Doorways'), "Welcome to Narnia" is really quite unique...!

When reflecting upon the theme this time, one of the first things to come to mind regarding 'Doorways' was the enchanting, classic tale by C.S. Lewis, The Lion, Witch, and the Wardrobe. In the story, children discover a magical portal to the perpetually wintry land of Narnia, via the doors of a large old wardrobe they find within the manor house they are staying. My ACEO features this mystical cupboard, with 'doors' that actually 'open' (!) to reveal the chilly, snowy realm of the fantastical Narnia just beyond, complete with its single shining lamppost guiding the way....(Note that this ACEO is actually the thickness of two cards, one pasted to and overlaying the other, in order to create this special effect)...
