Original acrylic from a series of paintings of birds and their nests. These are very expressive paintings with a subject always on the move. Birds are movement creatures, their lives depend on a great deal of movement... usually the only time they are still is on a nest as this painting depicts. I also was fascinated by the nest they built and chose to paint them in this series in association with their nest be it a round ball of grass and twine or a pile of haphazard sticks. The kind of bird it is was irrelevent to the painting as I painted to represent a wild animal (bird), not a particular animal (bird). This bird is a Thrush. Painted on gallery wrapped canvas 1.5" deep edges finished and ready to hang.
