This painting was inspired by a horse by the name of Bonnie who gave birth to a little spunky filly by the name of Layla on Raindance farms. The painting was done using palette knife. The only brush work is in the eye area and nose for a bit of detail. This is the third palette knife painting I've done and I'm really enjoying the freedom of the knife! The textural effects and movement something I've not been able to accomplish with a brush.
