I found this unfinished, sturdy wooden footstool at a local hardware store, and began to pyrograph this dragonfly right away. Dragonflies are such mysterious critters... the way their colors bounce off of their bodies, and the whimsical nature in which they flutter about. This piece is pyrographed (woodburned) and painted with acrylic paints. I then added a coat of varnish to protect it.
