Wow, what fun it is to be involved with EBSQ! I love it!
When I saw the line up for shows this month I must say delight filled my senses. Being a photographer with a food back ground I knew my work was cut out for me. Food truly is Art itself so rendering it is a worthy challenge. I have worked in dozens of Restaurants across the country. Managing, serving, and even inventing menus, anyway on to the piece.
The Recipe
This item was choosen primarily for it's color value, however it is one of my favorite meals. Quite simply start by throwing some sliced chicken breast on the grill. While that is grilling rinse two of your favorite greens, rinse and slice one Tamato and one Orange. Throw the slices, the greens, some crushed nuts on a platter and top with the finished chicken. Add honey mustard sauce and you are ready to eat! What could be easier?
Recipe for the Art
To produce this image I then placed the plate on a background with a few flash bulbs set up. Then I shot it and scanned into the computer and Photoshop. After that I played with the image for a while changing colors or adding brush strokes or contrast until it popped. Printed and presented you see it here.
Thank you for the opportunity to share this with you.
