Blue Fern Dragonflies
This painting has metallic copper glaze for a background.
Two interference blue ferns are the focus.
Countless dragonflies adorn the canvas. Some are so tiny that they’re hiding in the tall grasses. The colors are warm greens, turquoise, gold, coppers, brown, black and rich deep oranges. 3-D grasses are painted in metallic creamy gold, glossy black and rich deep orange.
The iridescent metallic colors are visible at different angle and different light. The dragonflies are also layered a top and underneath the different layers. Even at low light, the pattern and some of the dragonflies have a warm glow.
The sides are very deep measuring 1.5” and painted satin black. The square 20” x 20” size of the canvas is unique.
This is gallery wrapped with staple free edges and ready to hang. The painting has an extra stretcher bar through the middle for extra support.
This painting is coated in a high quality artist varnish to protect its beauty.
