This is a totally abstract piece, inspired by a desire to work with an emphasis on shape and color. The surface texture became a part of the its character due to the many changes and experiments in the process of creation. I wanted a strong structure, a framework that gave the piece support, allowing me to play with the shapes, movement, and colors.
I named it "On the Green" upon its completion, seeing the landscape and water like forms. I felt it may give viewers a key to relating to it and to engaging his thought process. I also thought the name very punny, as I can see it as an Arial view of a golf course.
