Quite a contrast from the colorful tones that naturally depict this Venician suburb. I wanted to show what it might look on a fitfully nasty day. Everything at a standstill: no boats cruising along the canal, no natives out shopping, no tourists. Luckily, the original photo was taken at a quiet time of the day, lending itself to my grey interpretation. A stormy sky appears about to unlease a torrent of rain. In spite of the atmosphere portrayed through digital effects, there is a certain peacefullness and beauty to the scene.
