"A lovely sight to see is a 'deep red gladiolus' blooming in your summer garden. Can you almost hear the buzz of bees and see the flutter of butterflies? Relax and enjoy the day."
Artist comment: "These red gladiolus are difficult to portray with the delicacy of fragile flowers. I was able to accomplish this by lightly layering watercolor by degrees in certain areas. I chose a cool yellow green impressionistic background to make the reds really 'pop'. My choice of substrate is 80 # cover paper."
