I created this piece specifically for the September 2014 Sedum Exhibit here at EBSQ. I have a dear friend who has a collection of sedums, and one of my favorite species is the Lime Zinger. I love the contrasting colors that are present in this variety -- vibrant green leaves with reddish fuschia edges. It reminds me of the holidays! It's sometimes a challenge to blend contrasting colors, so I chose watercolor pencils as the main medium, blending with water as I worked. I then used black ink in the darkest recesses. And this is the result... Enjoy! :)
