For some reason, I began acquiring stamps a few years ago. I don't have many as I am not a stamp collector, but loved the little minature pieces of art many of the stamps hold. When I started making these minatures with the stamps, I saw a recent release by the U.S. Postal Service of the comic book cover stamps and decided to do a few mosaics with these recent stamps.

Aquaman is surrounded by aqua (what else) colored glass and lavendar mirror glass. Now, Aquaman just doesn't come across as a lavendar kind of guy, but you will note the column he stands on is this color. At my husband's suggestions I placed some glass fish around Mr. Aquaman and forutnately I had some in aqua color. This minature mixed media mosaic is adhered to a wood panel.
