The Stairs

This picture was taken at Riverside Park here on the Upper West Side of New York City. It was late Summer and it was around dusk.

Usually, when people think of New York, the first image that comes to mind, is an image of skyscrapers across the landscape, but here's another view that most people don't associate with New York. We do have some beautiful parks here, and scenery OTHER than the tall buildings that we're so well-known for.

The luminous glow emitted by the lamppost globes along the stairway offset the greenery that night in such a beautiful, and romantic way. It felt like something out of a storybook or fairytale. Even though this picture was taken just last year, it has a sense of "timelessness" about it. Now, that's MY New York!
