Stained Glass Star Shades of Blue

- by Dianne McGhee

This week's theme: Would You Like To Swing On A Star?

Because of light pollution many of us only see a few stars at night. We may not see them, but there are still billions of points of light arcing over the earth. The Milky Way still crosses the sky like a river flowing through the night and the constellations continue they''re cyclical path from one horizon to the other. Even when we can''t see them the stars still captivate us. This week''s EBSQ Art of the Day brings you stars that you can enjoy day or night.

Did you see that? It was that bright light coming from this star. Kind of like a twinkle of light. Almost like you think you saw something, but then when you turned your head it was gone. Well, you wern't seeing things. That was a twinkle and it came with wishes. Not just one wish, but as many as you want. This little wishing star was created out of bright colorful stained glass about 4 and a half inches of it and twirly copper wire. There are many twinkling dots about as well, and each one contains little transmitters that send your wishes out to the universe. Out there, they spin around and create all this energy and then they bounce your wish back to you and it comes true. Oh, heck, here I go babbling again. I have no idea how the wishes come true, all I know is that you should be careful what you wish for because if you wish hard enough, it could come true. I'm not kidding. Anyway, I signed and dated each one and buffed them till there was a permanent shine because I wanted to make sure you'd always see them twinkle. And one more thing, I can't control how the wishes come to you, because I wished for a bigger pile of money and low and behold if there wern't magnifiers on my glasses. Now all my nickels look like a bunch of fifty cent pieces. Gawl darn it.
