This week's theme: Helianthus
They are named for the sun. Their symmetry is based on Fibonacci numbers. They are native to the Americas, but have traveled widely and have captured the eyes and imagination of people all over the world.
A delicate whisp waiting for the next breeze to set it free.
This image was captured using a Canon 50D fitted with a 25mm extension tube mounted on a Canon 100-400mm F5.6 L lens.
