Parrot Tulip is delightful and enchanting. This painting was entered into FOTM Tulips. It is an original oil painting on a square format canvas and was also depicted in Flowers We Love Calendar. The original is sold to a private collector. I used a very fluid brush stroke to get the feel of the soft feathery petals of the parrot tulip. The dark rich background was created with a mixture of Thalo Blue, Burnt Umber, and Alizaron Crimson.
