Art: Dreaming of the Sea by Artist Deborah Sprague
Mixed media ART to the EXTREME! This is an ORIGINAL art piece Signed DSprague. I love the beach, capturing some of its beauty in glass was fun! These glass castings are taken from custom molds I've created using clay. The glass is then melted into the mold, once cooled the mold is breaked away and the glass image is revealed! Its a heavy piece of recycled Stainless steel with layers of oil paint, resin and metallic powders. Attached to it is THREE glass castings - fused glass art tiles of a CRAB, STAR FISH, and SEA TURTLE. The oil paint has been brushed through to show part of the stainless steel base. The tiles are attached with industrial resin. Very textural with beautiful colors!
