Sunflower Ladybug Vignette

- by Pamela K Wilhelm

This week's theme: Helianthus

They are named for the sun. Their symmetry is based on Fibonacci numbers. They are native to the Americas, but have traveled widely and have captured the eyes and imagination of people all over the world.

Wrong Bitch (a/k/a Flora) is a little bit rock and roll and a whole lot beautiful. She lived in the days of wine and roses, thus her name but she was oh so much more...a little bit Tina Turner (Beyond Thunderdome) and a little bit Athena or Xena... pick your poison, she's definitely the "wrong bitch" to mess with.

She is made of sheet metal, flashing, grommets, paper and silk flowers. She stands a little over 2 1/2 feet tall and is perfectly proportioned by width.

She was a hit in her most recent show (Biting the Apple - Gallery de Grindhouse - Silk Stocking Sirens and Beefcake Boys") with many people taking their photos with her, which wasn't a problem, as she is definitely not shy...

She even made the news...
