Sculpture has been since mankind began to create, filling space with shape. It engages our eye with multi-dimensional form. It can be created out of one material or many, limited only by the hands and the mind of the artist that creates it. Uniquely expressive, sculpture has a power that we return to again and again.
Sculpted in papier mache and painted in acrylics, this series features 3 pairs of horse busts, in three positions: two 'head down', two 'head forward', and two 'head up/outstretched' --with none of the six exactly alike.
Designed and created for use as stage props for a local production of 'The Nutcracker Ballet'....
