This painting is so peaceful to me. It depicts early morning on Jekyll Island, GA, after a previous evenings rain. The tabby ruins are barely visible through the sunlit misty atmosphere... a perfect time to go walking. The moisture burns off quickly at the beach and the quiet is soon broken by laughing children playing in the waves, completely oblivious to the history of the ruins so close by.
