Sunflower Ladybug Vignette

This week's theme: Helianthus

They are named for the sun. Their symmetry is based on Fibonacci numbers. They are native to the Americas, but have traveled widely and have captured the eyes and imagination of people all over the world.

This is a collage that I made for myself. It is made from hand cut paper images with a watercolor background on 140 lb cold press watercolor paper.

For me it calls to mind a blustery day in early March.
