Sunflower Ladybug Vignette

- by Pamela K Wilhelm

This week's theme: Helianthus

They are named for the sun. Their symmetry is based on Fibonacci numbers. They are native to the Americas, but have traveled widely and have captured the eyes and imagination of people all over the world.

This bell is made from Scrub Oak taken from BLM land, scheduled for a burn. A clapper was also turned and installed for reality. It was sanded to 400 grit and coated with sanding sealer before buffing on the Beal system with Carnauba wax for a lasting finish.
