Cat and Wine Fairy Shrine

- by Lisa M. Nelson

This week's theme: Brown With An Anomaly

This week's theme is - for the most part, the colour brown. However, there is one piece that has no brown in it. It is connected to one of the other pieces by virtue of it's placement, but it was chosen first and neither piece was chosen because of the other. It's unplanned, kind of fun and rather obvious so it won't be hard to spot.

Art: Cat and Wine Fairy Shrine by Artist Lisa M. Nelson
This is my ode to cats and wine, two of my favorite things. :)

One of a kind and hand painted, this lovely fairy is painted all around with acrylics on a wood base. She's sealed with UV resistant matte varnish and signed and dated on back.

In her belly I've adhered an original miniature watercolor painting on 140 lb Arches I did of a black cat, class of wine and wine bottle. It's also sealed with UV resistant matte varnish.

Her 'outfit' is painted in magenta with lime polka dots and she has lots of fun trims and embellishments including Swarovski crystals, rhinestone banding, gold mica flakes and metallic ric rac. She has LOTS of sparkle!

The Cat and Wine Fairy Shrine stands 4.5" tall and is 2.75" across at the widest point of her wings and .50" deep. Self standing on a flat surface.
