Orig ACEO Elephant "Out of Africa" Brody

- by Judith A Brody

This week's theme: A Good Luck Week

There are many myths about elephants. They are considered wise and noble. We admire their strength and tenacity. There are those who revere the elephant as sacred. We know the legend about their fierce loyalty is a truth so powerful that we are often deeply moved when we witness it. Perhaps these things are part of why we consider elephants to be good luck. Some say an elephant with it's trunk up showers luck down on all who pass. Other's believe that if the trunk is down the luck can flow freely into the path of those who walk by. Personally, I think it hardly matters. Whatever the reason may be, we are drawn to elephants and we find pleasure in surrounding ourselves with their image.

O.K. so it isn't a trumpet even tho that's what an elephant usually plays. This one (foreground) plays the bass Saxaphone.
