For this painting I choose to paint the American Bald Eagle as the symbol of the USA and I've choosen the colors of the US Flag as the primary colors for the painting. I've only seen a few of these rare birds flying in the wild but it's a sight that stays with me. This bird is painted in Red White and Blue. The blue background has Pearl Ex Jacuard powders mixed into the blue to give a sparkle that represents the starts on the Amercian Flag. The textural red lines on body of the bird represent the stripes on the flag while adding the impression of forward movement.
