White Rabbit's Wild Weekend!
Anyone who read the Lewis Carroll classic "Alice in Wonderland" as a kid was intrigued by the quirky "White Rabbit", and who didn't ask Santa for a cute fuzzy cuddly toy bunny under the tree as a child?
Well, I chose to create my own white bunny rabbit toy. But this white rabbit is just a tiny bit different than your normal, typical, everyday bunny rabbit toy...
You see, unfortunately, as cute & adorable as they may seem, our toys do let us down sometimes, and this particular toy bunny is not immune to the excesses of Wonderland.
Yup, that's right -- it looks like Alice's white rabbit has finally hit the bottom of the bottle!
Here he is passed out (inebriated) on some curb somewhere in a seedy part of a town called "Wonderland"... he's just a disgrace to all rabbitkind!
Look at that --his (copper wire) spectacles fell off and although he still has some "bling" (his goldtone pocketwatch IS still ticking), we see the infamous empty bottle nearby with the words "Drink Me" printed on it...guess he took those words to heart, and just couldn't resist the temptation! Gulp, gulp, gulp - down the hatch!
So kids, the moral here is: THINK before acting on a whim! Just because a bottle says "drink me" doesn't mean you HAVE TO! Just say NO! It COULD save your life or at the very least, help you keep your appointment with the Queen! ;)
NOTE: I did NOT actually MAKE this toy doll from scratch, I acquired him UNPAINTED & unfinished in a tea-stained muslin - shown in the last picture here, (I did, however, paint ALL the details onto him, including his clothing, & I even fashioned the copper wire into "spectacles" for him.) I signed the rabbit on the back of his "pants" or "knickers" and used a cotton ball for his tail. ;)
