Almost Dusk 2 depicts Australia's most notorius bush ranger, Ned kelly, waiting to ambush the local constabulary, before a setting sun. Light from the surrounding bushland reflect a pinkish hue on the steel plates used to shield Ned. The paint used in this painting is acrylic (Atelier) painted on a Mont Marte cotton duck canvas. The metal finish has been achieved with a rough cloth dabbed in paint. Two coats of water based gloss varnish finishes the job.
