A very good friend of mine who had already lost her son to kidney disease, had to deal with her daughters rare and very aggressive form of inflammatory breast cancer. Her daughter died within a year of diagnosis - leaving behind 2 bewildered pre teen children. I created this painting while thinking about the tragedy that befell my friends - knowing that " But for the grace of God here go I"
