A self portrait of me when aged 22. At that tuime I was a student and it was the dog end of the 80's. I had big hair, wore make-up and though quite shy was noticable. I was often mistaken for a girl though I didn't really look like one. Girls liked me looking like this but I was more interested in boys and they didn't. The look was me rejecting the standard norms of masculinity and emphasising the feminine side of my nature.
It was painted from a 3 x 4 cm photo booth picture.
