This is one of a couple that I will enter for this show, I am doing Sinbad and his voyages, particularly the Creatures he fought, this is done with watercolor, art pencils and felt pens and glued rhinestones on heavy 120pd watercolor paper, the story is, on this voyage Sinbad and his crew wanted to get to the Diamond taverns up in the mountains, but they had to get around the huge two headed bird of prey, "Roc", so they put scatters of raw meat at the bottom and when the Roc flew back up with the meat they would take scraps and hide the diamonds in the meat and go down the mountain, in this scene, the baby Roc hatchling was killed by the other men and Sinbad is fighting off the Bird with his whip.
