Coming from generations of Royal Navy stock, the stories of Sinbad were natural choices for nautical bedtime reading when I was small. There's a ruefully familiar human frailty in the beginning with Sinbad squandering his inheritance, but as he sails the seven seas his adventures become fantastically gripping endeavours to restore his former wealth. My Sinbad is posed, ready for action, an eager eye on the next opportunity...
Sinbad is sculpted over a wire armature in a hand-blended mix of polymer clays (mixed for strength, durability and colour). His breeches are black cotton and I cut the sleeve from a much loved shirt to make his sash (!). His luxuriant jet black locks are mohair. (I have been assured that this is a by-product and that no mos were harmed purely to wig my sculpt.)
