This painting features a shady corner of my garden where my favorite birdfeeder is hanging from a pear tree. The birdfeeder is called "Hot Lips Hilda" (really!); the opening is...through the mouth. I thought the color of her hair was remarkably in harmony with the hydrangeas in bloom...: had to paint it!
It was painted in June 2004 in my garden.
This is an entry in the "Plein Air" EBSQ Show.
