This is the typical view I got in my garden. As I life on the Big Island of Hawaii all this tropical flowers are in bloom all year long. I painted this painting "against the light"(meaning from the dark to the sun light) to capture more shadows. Heliconias remind me always on hearts. I painted this Heliconias in May 2004 in my garden in Kailua Kona/Hawaii. Attached you will find a photo of Heliconias.
